The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world.
The Minnesota Humane Society (MHS) is a statewide education, advocacy and rescue organization dedicated to protecting the lives and interests of Minnesota's animals - both companion animals and wildlife. Founded in 1869, it is the state's oldest humane society.
Since founding in 2009, Twin Cities Pet Rescue has focused on rescuing animals in critical need; specifically, special needs cases and those at risk of being euthanized. Once rescued, all animals stay with loving foster homes, receive optimal veterinary care, high-quality nutrition, and basic training in preparation for adoption. We have rescued and placed more than 4,500 animals with loving forever families since our founding. That’s one life saved for every day of our existence.

It's important to call ahead when in need of an emergency vet. Depending how full they are the wait could be up to 3 hours and depends on the severity of the situation.

We are here as an extension of your primary care veterinarian to provide emergent care while your vet is closed. We are fully staffed with an emergency veterinarian and technical staff during our open hours. Pet emergencies can be unexpected and scary, but our team is always available to help your pet when they need it most. We understand how much your pet means to you as a family member, and we will always treat them as our own.
When you have a pet emergency, seconds count. We want you to know, we’re ready. If your pet has a condition that requires advanced medicine, we’re ready for that too.
